“Alan continues to blame the voices for the abduction of his son - even though he has no evidence. The police believe that either A. He had a seizure and someone walked off with his son, or B. He had a mental lapse, killed his son - and this caused or was the cause of a breakdown. The police were unable to find any trace of his son - but this is common in child abductions.

He has not responded to any of the normal modes of treatment for his psychosis - We’ve tried him on many variants of medicine. Haldol, ativan, zyprexa - no change in the voices. Alan’s generally not violent - other than being strenuous about retrieving his son from the voices. He’s sort of given up hope, though - like he’s been through the grieving process. The question is: Will the voices ever go away? And, will he be able to make a recovery and reenter normal society?”

I saw something today! I was sitting in my room - meditating - clearing my mind. Total silence. Deep breathing. I closed my eyes - and I was able to see through my eyelids! Like windows - but oval shaped - everything was fuzzy - but I could see! It was a desert landscape - like something out of Egypt! The sky was a pinkish hue - with an endless stretch of sand. I opened my eyes - and it all disappeared. Closed them - and it was still gone. Damn.

I tried for hours to reach that state of mind again, but I didn’t succeed. The nothings seemed to be egging me on - their taunts sounded like laughing - they were laughing because I couldn’t reach my son - because I couldn’t help him. Why don’t they leave me alone!
